This 14-day grand tour is for those who want to leave Sri Lanka saying they have truly seen it all. Beginning in Colombo, you travel north to the sacred city of Anuradhapura before venturing to the northernmost tip — the fascinating Jaffna Peninsula, where Tamil culture, Hindu temples, and island life feel like a different country within a country.
The east coast reveals a Sri Lanka that most visitors never see: the turquoise waters of Trincomalee's Marble Beach, the hilltop Koneswaram Temple with its sheer cliff-edge drama, and the vibrant coral of Pigeon Island. Working south through the cultural triangle, you revisit Sigiriya and discover Polonnaruwa's remarkable ancient city — best explored by bicycle at dawn.
The journey then follows the same beloved southern route as the 10-day tour but with more time to breathe: Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Ella, Yala, Mirissa, and Galle. Fourteen days allows for spontaneity — a longer beach stop, an unplanned village visit, a local home-cooked meal. This is Sri Lanka at its fullest and most rewarding.
